Legendary American rock band Journey will perform Friday, October 2nd at the Santa Barbara Bowl
with special guest Night Ranger.
In 2008, Journey introduced a new lead singer to the world, Arnel Pineda, with the release of their 14th
studio album, Revelation and an extraordinarily successful world tour. It was the latest chapter in a
rock-and-roll saga that began more than 35 years ago and has produced some of the best-known rock
songs of the 1970’s and 80’s. The current Journey line-up features founding members Neal Schon
(guitar) and Ross Valory (bass), along with Jonathan Cain (keyboards), and Deen Castonovo (drums).
The group’s many hit songs include: “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Any Way You Want It,” “Separate Ways
(Worlds Apart),” “Lights” and the Grammy-nominated “When You Love a Woman.” Throughout their
more than three decade career, the band has sold more than 80 million albums worldwide and the single
“Don’t Stop Believin’” holds the record as the top-selling track in iTunes history, at more than 2 million
downloads.
American hard rock band Night Ranger first made a name for themselves in the 1980’s with a series of
successful albums and singles and is best known for the power ballad “Sister Christian.”
